When awards season is in play, chances are, you’ve probably seen Michael Cinco‘s designs on just about every red carpet out there. The Dubai-based fashion designer has gained immense popularity for his impeccable craftsmanship and breathtaking couture designs, that eventually, he’s become a go-to designer for stars including Aishwarya Rai, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyoncé and Victoria Swarovski (who’s couture wedding gown was ranked 6th as ‘The Top 10 Most Expensive Wedding Gowns of All Time’).
Pretty impressive, no?
The Filipino couturier continues to get that well-deserved spotlight, as the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in the US, will host an exhibition purely dedicated to the designer.
Set to take place at SCAD’s Museum of Fashion + Film in Atlanta, US, the exhibition will give visitors a chance to see Cinco’s exquisite collections and work up close, all through October to January, 2020.
Marking the first solo museum show, the exhibition will also host pieces worn by celebrities including Aishwarya Rai’s Cinderella-like dress, as well as that crystal-encrusted sheath finished with a statement train designed to resemble a butterfly’s wings.
The exhibition will run from October 3 to January 5, 2020.
