Yesterday it was St. Patrick’s Day. And naturally, in keeping with royal obligations, the Duchess of Cambridge marked the occassion by attending the Irish Guards St Patrick’s Day Parade.
Being that the day is pretty much sprayed in every shade of green, Middleton followed suit in a dark emerald coat dress by Alexander McQueen with a matching fascinator and a festive shamrock brooch – tres, tres chic. Keeping it simple, she completed the look with a pair of black pumps. Comfort over everything, right?
While she was out on the scene, she partook in some traditional activities too, including: pinning a cluster of shamrocks on the First Battalion Irish Guardsmen’s mascot, an Irish Wolfhound named Domhnall. She seemed to really enjoy herself while doing it – because last year she was heavily pregnant so that had to be a bit of a strain, right?
Next up, according to Kensington Palace, the Duchess is set to visit the Foundling Museum to understand how they use art to make a positive contribution to society by engaging with vulnerable and marginalised young people.
