Chloé is heading to Shanghai to present Resort 2020

First time out of Paris
For the first time, Chloé is heading East for Resort 2020...

It’s just been announced that Chloé is jet setting to Shanghai for Resort 2020. How exciting. According to WWD, this will mark the first personal appearance for Creative Director, Natacha Ramsay-Levi in China since she stepped into her role in 2017 – although she did visit China to gather some inspiration ahead of the show.

Looking at the wider schedule of Resort and Cruise collections, it looks like we’re going to be adding up those frequent flyer miles between Prada in New YorkMorocco for Dior, Giorgio Armani in Tokyo and Berlin for Max Mara, we’ve got ourselves a world tour to look forward to. And interestingly, this is the first time Chloé is heading out of Paris to showcase its Resort collection.

Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, Chief Executive Officer of Chloé said, “It’s the first time Chloé is staging a catwalk show outside Paris in the history of the house.” But he did confirm that it is a one-off event, adding, “It is not a strategy to necessarily stage a show for the pre-collection. It was more: We want to do something special in China for the Chinese Chloé girls.”

This move will definitely help dilute the air since the Dolce & Gabbana video scandal fired late last year.

Chloé’s Resort 2020 collection will be showcased on 5 June.
