Fresh off the back from announcing that it will be holding a memorial for Karl Lagerfeld in Paris next month, Chanel shared some pretty exciting news surrounding Virginie Viard, King Karl’s longtime right hand.
Now the Creative Director of the maison (she took over creative direction of the house following the designer’s sad passing in February), Viard has exclusively designed her first Métiers d’Art 2019-2020 collection and we’re excited to see what she’ll be serving up next season. Marking this occassion for the female designer, the show will be taking place in Paris later this year, although the location is yet to be revealed.
The Métiers d’Art collections were presented all around the globe in recent in years including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for New York for Chanel Métiers d’Art 2018-2019 and Lagerfeld’s native Hamburg, Germany, in 2017.
Chanel’s Métiers d’Art show will take place on December 5, 2019, in Paris.
