Breaking news: Stella McCartney joins forces with LVMH

The British designer split with Kering last year...
It's official! Stella McCartney has officially opened a new chapter in her book, this time with LVMH...

Last year, news broke that Stella McCartney was parting ways with luxury conglomerate Kering after a 17-year partnership. The fashion break-up eventually meant that the designer bought back that stake to become the sole owner of her business.

Now, it seems like the sustainability queen is switching sides and have joined France’s other major luxury giant, LVMH.

Not only will this new partnership further illustrate how LVMH are seeking to show its commitment to sustainability, but the British designer will also become a special adviser on sustainability to Bernard Arnault, Chairman and Chief Executive of LVMH, and its executive committee.

Taking the news to Instagram, LVMH have put out a statement that read: “Stella McCartney and LVMH announce a new partnership to further develop the Stella McCartney House. The goal of this partnership will be for the Stella McCartney House to accelerate its worldwide development in terms of business and strategy, while of course remaining faithful to its long-lasting commitment to sustainability and ethical fashion. We are delighted to open this new chapter together. The full scope of this deal will be detailed in September.”

We look forward to seeing what this new stage means for the brand.
