Some of fashion’s biggest and most talented names will be honoured at this year’s Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars, it has been revealed today.
Leading the group is none other than Vera Wang, who, according to WWD, is receiving the Superstar award for her 28 years of service to the industry which began with bridalwear in 1990.
Olivier Rousteing, Anna Sui and Carol Lim and Humberto Leon of Kenzo will all receive a Fashion Star award on the night and Moncler is being honoured for Luxury Lifestyle. Plus, Maria Cornejo is being recognised for her sustainability efforts and over in beauty, Frédéric Malle is this year’s honouree.
Each year the ceremony draws some of fashion and Hollywood’s biggest names, and this year is set to be no exception. It also always follows a theme — last year’s was Modern Voices, and this year’s is Design Reimagined. Speaking to WWD, Margaret Hayes, the President and CEO of FGI, said, “It highlights those who see the world the way it is; who listen, change the conversation and reimagine what is to what should be, bringing new ideas and meaning to the worlds of design, beauty, culture, philanthropy and the human condition.”
The 2018 FGI Night of Stars will take place on October 25 in New York City.
