A new creative direction
Meet Walter Chiapponi, the new head of Tod's future women's and men's collections...

Just weeks after showcasing its latest Spring/Summer 2020 collection during Milan Fashion Week, Tod’s announced the person responsible for all forthcoming collections of the house.

The Tod’s Group has officially appointed Walter Chiapponi as Creative Director for women’s and men’s collection for the brand, with his debut set with the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2020 collection.

With experience at some of the world’s most renowned labels including Givenchy, Valentino, Gucci, Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta, we can expect great things from the Milan-born creative.

Speaking of his new appointment, Diego Della Valle, President of Tod’s Group, states: “Walter Chiapponi is a talented Italian creative who knows and is able to combine Tod’s Italian lifestyle with a touch of modernity, without ever losing sight of the high quality and craftsmanship that represents the brand’s DNA. I welcome him and wish him well in his new role.”

“It is a great honour to work for this Group. Tod’s is a brand that has always represented an excellence in the international panorama of Italian quality and style,” Chiapponi adds. “Being able to contribute to the development of this Italian lifestyle is, for me, a challenge and a reason to be proud.”
