Not that we need one singular day to celebrate the triumphs of women – that can be any day of the year. But it’s good to know we have a marked day in the calendar for everyone to acknowledge.
With International Women’s Day this Friday (8 March) a lot of brands have jumped on marketing opportunities. Indeed, Banana Republic came out with a ‘femme’ strong capsule collection. And now, Net-a-Porter has unveiled its capsule collection of T-shirts that speak the truth for all women.
The luxury e-tailer had the input of six powerful female designers to lead the charge on the collection. Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Rosie Assoulin, Ellery, Isabel Marant and Perfect Moment each created a T-shirt with an empowering message in honour of the day.

It looks like each designer kept true to their aesthetic. Beckham’s minimal yet effective ‘I am her’ packs a real punch – on being apart of this collaboration, she said, “It’s more important than ever that women support each other and hopefully this aids in raising awareness for a subject close to my heart.”
Marant said it with a first-pumping ‘You go girl’ because “My feminist fight is about equality : equal treatment, equal pay, equal opportunities.”
And Chung got spiritual by calling out to a higher power, as it’s “an opportunity to reflect how far we have come and how important it is to raise each other up in order to get where we are going.”
We heart them all and will be wearing each one in rotation. Yep, that’s right. Anything to further the message.
The collection is available exclusively on Net-a-Porter. All proceeds will go to funding Women for Women International – UK
Now, get to know another feminist by the name of Emily Ratajkowski.
