Here’s what we know about the 2018 Green Carpet Fashion Awards so far

"The Oscars of sustainable fashion"
The fashion industry's renewed focus on sustainability is set to be recognised in the second edition of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards. Here's what we know so far...

Last year, the fashion industry flocked to Milan for the bi-annual Milan Fashion Week event and closing out the long-week schedule was the first Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA).

Aimed at celebrating eco-friendly designers and brands made in Italy, the inaugural awards ceremony, started by Livia Firth, brought together some of the industry’s most prominent figures including Gucci‘s Alessandro MicheleDsquared2‘s Dean and Dan Caten, Missoni‘s Margherita Missoni, Dakota Johnson and Naomi Campbell to the La Scala theatre.

Now, news has emerged overnight that a second edition is in the works and will continue to highlight the role of sustainability in the fashion industry.

Set to take place in the middle of Milan Fashion Week on September 23, 2018, once again at the La Scala theatre, we can expect to see fashion royalty on-site at the GCFAs to celebrate the second sustainable awards of their kind.
