Every now and then, you’ll come across a collection that perfectly tells a story or clearly showcase the vision of the designer. And that’s the case for Jil Sander‘s new capsule collection with Mytheresa.
Entitled ‘The Summer Project’, the capsule range designed by Co-Creative Directors Lucie and Luke Meier explore the designers’ personal experiences sitting seaside and enjoying nature, with a 15-piece collection made up of the ultimate summer staples (think lightweight dresses, jumpsuits and oversized shirts).
Modern and minimal, the new collection comes complete in summer-appropriate fabrics including white cotton linen and light grey parachute silk. Plus, reinterpreted Sombrero totes are available in a cream canvas and in two different sizes.
Speaking of the new collection, Lucie and Luke Meier, said: “This collection was very personal so the inspiration came from some of our own experiences in the summer, traveling, enjoying the seaside, and being in nature. What kind of fabrics we like in that environment, what kind of garments we use, or want to use. It was a feeling we were after, but also a practicality of what’s needed in that moment and environment.”
The Mytheresa x Jil Sander + Summer capsule collection just launched today and is now available globally on mytheresa.com.
