Louis Vuitton presents its Pre-Fall ’20 collection with a narrative journey

Introducing a “wearable library”
Nicolas Ghesquière proves that virtual reality is fashion's 'next big thing' with Louis Vuitton's new campaign...

Not only is Nicolas Ghesquière an expert at exuding nostalgia in most of his collections, but the Louis Vuitton designer looks ahead at what fashion’s next frontier could be too, and excels at just that.

For Pre-Fall ’20, the design maestro is giving a twist to the usual lookbook with a brand new narrative journey that highlights Louis Vuitton’s collection.

A plethora of international stars including brand ambassadors Sophie Turner Jonas, Jaden Smith, Léa Seydoux, Emma Roberts and Deepika Padrone have been chosen to front kitschy-like posters, reminiscent of horror and sci-fi novels from the ’80s.

Photographed by Collier Schorr, the lookbook (or shall we say fashion novel) sees a rich combination of playfulness and sophistication as celebrities mimic characters with a rich cast of costumers in storytelling themes, including one that showcases the original cover from William Peter Blatty’s 1971 novel, The Exorcist.
