Just in: Gaia Trussardi exits Trussardi Group

She stepped down as her role of Creative Director
Gaia Trussardi has just stepped down from her role in the family business. Here's what we know so far...

Late last night, Italian fashion house Trussardi confirmed that Gaia Trussardi has officially stepped down from her position as Creative Director of the coveted maison after being at the helm for over five years.

After entering the role in 2011, Trussardi joined the family business with responsibilities for the brand’s Tru Trussardi line, and in 2013, succeeded Umit Benan Sahin at the helm of the Trussardi jeans lines.

In an official statement released by the Italian label, Trussardi said that: “Gaia Trussardi today resigned from the position of creative director, to pursue new professional challenges. The company would like to thank Gaia for her contribution over the last five years, which has allowed Trussardi Group to transform the image of its collections, and to develop the brand at international level.”

The designer recently showcased a beautiful F/W’18 collection during Milan Fashion Week in February, following a brightly coloured range for S/S’18 in September 2017
