For the first time in its history, Versace is going digital-only for FW’21

Milan Fashion Week will be missing a major label this season...

Versace is getting on the digital bandwagon for the reveal of its Fall/Winter ’21 collection. Marking the next phase of the brand’s evolution, Donatella Versace will showcase her latest designs for the season in a digital-only broadcast — the first time to do so in the brand’s history.

Opting out of the next edition of Milan Fashion Week, the Versace show will be streamed on March 5 and we expect it to be great. “The unparalleled current situation has given Versace the opportunity to experiment with different methods of presenting its collections, addressing today’s creative challenges in a dynamic and artistic way,” a statement reads.

“Being a digital event has its advantages. One of them is the possibility of connecting with your audience whenever you think is the right moment,” explains Donatella Versace. “The decision to present the Fall/Winter 21 Collection a few days after the Milan Fashion Week doesn’t affect the fact that Versace remains a proud member of Camera della Moda and that the brand will always be a key player and a big supporter of the Italian fashion system. Fashion is an art and sometimes it has to work outside the usual path to fully blossom.”

The co-ed collection will be unveiled on March 5, 2021.
