The Fashion Trust Arabia winners are headed to the Big Apple

Here's what we know about their trip so far...
Some of the region's best designers are going to New York to learn how to incorporate sustainability into their businesses...

The launch of Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) was first announced exclusively by Buro. Middle East last year and ever since then, the platform has provided designers with unprecedented opportunity for success and the chance to have their works viewed by some of the biggest names in the industry.

Earlier this year, FTA (the region’s first major fashion prize event) took place in Qatar and it awarded a slew of Middle Eastern designers, chosen by a panel of esteemed industry experts — think Pierpaolo Picciolo, Olivier Rousteing, Zuhair Murad, Natalia Vodianova, Natalie Massenet and Farida Khelfa.

The well-deserved winners include Salim Azzam and Roni Helou (Ready-to-Wear), Krikor Jabotian (Eveningwear), Mukhi Sisters (Jewellery), Zyne (Shoes) and Sabry Marouf (Handbags) and now, they’ll be heading to New York City for something pretty exciting.

Maison de Mode offers sustainable fashion for conscious consumers and they’ve partnered up with Fashion Trust Arabia to mentor this year’s winners. Co-Founders Amanda Hearst and Hassan Pierre are set to host the FTA winners in June to help these designers incorporate sustainability into their businesses.

Whilst no further details have been revealed, stay tuned to Buro. Middle East for more information next week.
