Just last week, Coach announced a major move towards eco-friendly fashion by dropping fur in future collections, starting with its Fall 2019 collection.
Today, the all-American brand made another huge announcement and revealed that the next location for its upcoming Pre-Fall collection show is set to take place in Shanghai.
China’s biggest city has been gaining popularity as a fashion show location within recent years with Victoria’s Secret’s 2017 fashion show, Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall/Winter ’18 collection show with Lewis Hamilton and Giorgio Armani’s ‘One Night Only’ series all taking place in Shanghai. So it only made sense for Stuart Vevers to bring the fash pack there for his newest Coach collection.
Set to take place in Shanghai to celebrate the brand’s 15th anniversary in China, the Pre-Fall collection show will take place on the city’s popular waterfront, The Bund, and will feature a slew of specially designed accessories, ready-to-wear and sneakers created by the brand and its Chinese collaborators.
According to WWD, Vevers explained that staging Coach’s next Pre-Fall collection show in Shanghai “is a big moment for Coach and for me personally. Shanghai is one of the most vibrant, youthful and contemporary cities I have ever visited. It has a distinct energy that is inspiring and exciting — just like New York. I’m most looking forward to taking the spirit of the new Coach and the attitude and energy of New York to Shanghai to connect in an exciting and memorable way.”
Coach’s Pre-Fall show will take place at The Bund in Shanghai on December 8, 2018.
