Can we talk about Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s sophisticated sartorial choices right now?

At the Commonwealth Day Service
It was a case of many wardrobe changes for Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle at yesterday's Commonwealth Day. But these two ensembles were a definite stand out...

Yesterday it was World Commonwealth Day. And naturally, members of the royal family came out to celebrate with the public.

The highlight of the day was the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey. The Queen, head of the Commonwealth, was joined by Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; the Duke and Duchess of Sussex; and Prince Andrew for the occasion.

But obvs, the two stand outs were Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle who respectively, wore some of the best outfits we’ve ever seen them in.

Can we first talk about that bright red Catherine Walker coat dress worn by Middleton? I mean…talk about making an entrance…

And then Markle embraced a rope-print Victoria Beckham dress with matching blazer and pillbox hat, after her knock out forest green Erdem coat. And much like the Erdem coat, this VB dress is straight off the catwalk from the F/W’19 show last month.

Notice the Canadian flag colour coordination, right? Now that’s sartorial strategy…
