There’s no better time than now to be conscious of the environment. With Earth Day being celebrated across the world today, Burberry is just one of the several luxury brands that are building on its commitment to sustainable practices for the foreseeable future.
Today, the British luxury fashion house introduced a curated edit of 26 styles from its Spring/Summer ’20 collection. This new capsule, titled ‘ReBurberry Edit’, will be exquisitely crafted with the latest innovations in sustainable material science.
So, if you’ve been looking for an iconic Burberry trench coat that is sustainable and wearable, the ReBurberry Edit features trench coats, parkas, capes, accessories and a range of eyewear made from ECONYL® — a recycled nylon made from regenerated fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic.
The new launch coincides with Burberry’s global roll out of sustainable product labelling. The new initiative will see pistachio-coloured labels attached to Burberry products which will, for the first time, gives customers an insight into the sustainable attributes and social credentials of Burberry.
“By inviting customers to learn more about the sustainable credentials of our products through our labelling program, we are helping them to better understand our initiatives and breadth of the ambition of our responsibility agenda,” said Pam Batty, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Burberry.
