the Middle Eastern fashion scene is brimming with talented regional designers and Shatha Essa most certainly falls under that umbrella. The Emirati designer has frequently popped up on our radar and is stocked on Ounass.com and in Symphony, Harvey Nichols Dubai and Bloomingdale’s Dubai and Kuwait — so you know she’s on to something good.
Adding to her ready-to-wear collections that perfectly blend traditional silhouettes with modern elements, the Middle Eastern designer has expanded her offerings to include evening wear with a collection called Shatha Essa Noir.
Exclusively sharing the new video campaign with Buro 24/7 Middle East, the new Shatha Essa Noir line focuses on exquisite gowns, dresses and evening ensembles that are perfect for the region. Watch the exclusive video below…
Now, find out what the designer had to say about the new launch…
What does the launch of Shatha Essa Noir mean for the brand?
The launch of Shatha Essa Noir is a step in the direction of taking my brand on a global scale by introducing an eveningwear line where refined sophistication and timeless femininity is embedded in every piece.
Why did you decide to introduce an evening wear line?
I work very closely with my clients and love to cater to their wants and needs. Many of them requested more gowns and formal wear. This inspired me to create an eveningwear collection as an extension to my womenswear collection that can elegantly transcend seasons.
How will Shatha Essa Noir embody the ethos of the brand for a new consumer?
Shatha Essa is a brand for the hard-working woman who prioritises her family and her dreams. The brand is rooted in sophisticated designs and luxurious simplicity ensuring every client, new or old, feels elegant and effortlessly beautiful wearing my pieces.
What can consumers expect from the debut collection?
A luxurious blend of silk, tulle and organza embellished with pearls and cascading crystals enhancing the exquisite details with a touch of modern femininity. You can expect ball gowns and cape dresses to complete the fairytale aesthetic of the collection.

What was the design inspiration behind the Shatha Essa Noir collection?
I wanted this collection to be and look magical just like the snow-capped gardens of Chateau de Versailles that took my breath away! I wanted to translate the snow drifts, ice droplets and crystal patterns of the gardens into my designs to create a timelessly serene aesthetic.
You also introduced separates in your F/W’18 collection, which is new for the brand. Why did you decide to move in that direction?
I love to create pieces that are versatile and elegant and that’s why I introduced separates in this collection. This collection includes wide leg pants, roll neck shirts and organza sleeveless vests that aptly tie femininity to menswear-inspired pieces.
