Everything you need in one place
With the spring season almost upon us, it's time for a wardrobe update. Harvey Nichols Dubai shares four key trends to incorporate this season...

Earlier this year, Harvey Nichols – Dubai kicked off 2018 on a high note by welcoming buzzy brand of the moment Halpern to its repertoire of luxury offerings, as well as launching an exclusive Qasimi pop-up shop for men.

Now, the department store is looking ahead to the new season and has welcomed three new labels to its Mall of the Emirates location. With a sleek selection of pieces across high fashion, urban streetwear and red carpet-ready gowns, consumers can now shop the store’s newest offerings from New York-based unisex label Haculla, Demna Gvasalia‘s designs for Vetements, and British brand Needle & Thread (whose creations are crafted with artisans in India and the UK).

Additionally, Harvey Nichols – Dubai highlighted four key fashion trends for the season ahead in an exclusive trunk show last week.

And what are they we hear you ask? Ice Cream Shades, Feminine Tailoring, Fluid Florals and Modern Silhouettes.

Brands including Adeam, Rosie Assoulin and Costarellos have created gelato-inspired ensembles that come in a palette of strawberry pink, pistachio green and bubblegum blue, whilst SacaiMichael Lo Sordo and Monse give new meaning to tailoring by way of feminine silhouettes and striking details.

Florals consistently dominate the spring season year after year and for 2018, Johanna Ortiz, Sacai, Alice + Olivia and Zimmermann have reworked the classic print and added bold botanical influences to each of their collections.

As for modern silhouttes, the likes of Palmer Harding, AWAKE, Facetasm, Sacai, Vetements, Golden Goose, Olympia Le-Tan and JW Anderson have released collections that marry abstract shapes with contemporary designs to stunning effect.

The S/S’18 collections can be found in the Women’s Contemporary and Designer Departments on the first floor of Harvey Nichols  Dubai in Mall of the Emirates.
