Stepping into the Metaverse in Casadei shoes.
Casadei, the luxury Italian footwear brand, has recently entered the metaverse by launching a collection of NFT shoes. This innovative step marks the brand's first foray into the world of virtual fashion and represents a significant shift towards digital ownership of fashion items.

The collection features a range of unique and highly detailed shoe designs, each represented as a non-fungible token on the blockchain. This move by Casadei signals a growing trend of traditional fashion brands embracing the metaverse as a new frontier for creativity, commerce, and self-expression. Step into tomorrow with “Blade 2049”, a masterpiece Made in Italy that embodies the same unwavering dedication to quality and attention to detail as the company’s roots. Born from a seemingly impossible design challenge and brought to life by the visionary Cesare Casadei, the Blade Silhouette is now poised for a new chapter as it celebrates its tenth anniversary. Join the ranks of Casadei’s fashion-forward community and create your very own custom Blade 2049 today! But the excitement doesn’t end there – each purchase comes with a complimentary personalized avatar, allowing you to immerse yourself in the retro-futuristic metropolis of Decentraland. Amidst towering skyscrapers, flashing mega screens, and neon lights, unleash your creativity and explore the limitless possibilities of the metaverse. From imagination springs forth innovation, and as the Blade 10th Anniversary celebrations continue to blaze ahead, Casadei is poised to break new ground in the metaverse. With an immersive “real life” experience set amidst towering skyscrapers, flashing mega screens, and neon lights, the brand’s DNA is about to be explored by a whole new community. As visitors approach, they are greeted by a dystopian android, towering above them on a pair of imaginative Blades that defy all scale and reason. But this is only the beginning, as the digital replicant of Hardmetacore beckons the visitor into the palm of their hand, ready to embark on a journey through Casadei’s Phygital offering. Let your imagination run wild as you discover a new world of fashion and technology, where the boundaries of reality are pushed to their very limits. In order to dive deeper into more topics, BURO sits with Arianna Casadei, general manager of the brand.

What challenges are you facing for stepping into the digital world?

Share the brand values and the family feeling which permeates our shoe-story in order to be received from the final customer.

Tell us one sentence to describe and differentiate between the three projects: Project Nayom1, Blade2049 and Social.

Project Nayom1 refers to our Web 3 icon which we created as a digital interpretation of the Casadei woman, Blade2049 refers to the Web 3.0 immersive experience which we created for the one-of-a-kind shoe designed for the 10th anniversary of the blade and Social contents aimed to give a 360° look into the Casadei 3.0 world with a strong message to share with our followers base.

What would you change in the fashion industry if we strictly existed in the metaverse?

I would love for people to have a more direct approach with the product. Expanding the sensorial experience is a target, especially when talking about shoes.

Will Casadei explore more digital projects after these moving forward?

We are company that has always been forward in research and design. Our goal is to juxtapose this characteristic in every side of our business.

How is your clientele reacting to these?

They are especially interested in our product but the experience is catching the attention of a different cluster of clients, which we find interesting for future developments.

What is the shoe industry lacking today?

The possibility to share the same physical experience digitally. The quality of the materials, the exact shade of the colors, the comfort of the fit are still experiences that aren’t completely satisfied in the digital experience.
