Meghan Markle makes post-baby appearance at Trooping The Colour 2019

A British royal affair...
Trooping The Colour is one of the biggest royal events of the year and the family are all back together...

Every year, all senior members of the royal family gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to celebrate Trooping The Colour and whilst we thought there might have been a slight chance we wouldn’t be seeing Meghan Markle this year (she just gave birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor last month), we were wrong.

The Duchess of Sussex took a break from her maternity leave to make an appearance at the annual celebration in honour of the Queen’s birthday on Saturday. This marks her second appearance at Trooping The Colour following her debut last year, just weeks after her royal wedding to Prince Harry.

The annual ceremony includes a carriage procession followed by an inspection by the Queen of more than 1,000 royal guardsmen and an RAF flyover — the moment for which all senior royals gather on the balcony.

This year, she arrived with husband Prince HarryKate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall in the same carriage.

Marking her first post-baby appearance, Meghan couldn’t have looked any better. The new mum wore a navy ensemble by her wedding dress designer, Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller and completed her look with a matching hat by Noelle Stewart.
