After the red carpet had wrapped, the stars attending this year’s 70th Primetime Emmy Awards made their way inside the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles to find out who had won for 2018.
There were plenty of hotly contested categories, including Best Drama which Game of Thrones beat out the likes of The Handmaid’s Tale, This Is Us and Westworld to win, simultaneously sending our need to see the final season into overdrive and The Marvellous Mrs Maisal won a total of five awards on the night. Amazon and Netflix shows were big winners on the night and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story walked away with the gong for Best Limited Series.
One of the best moments however was when Glenn Weiss won the award for Outstanding Directing of a Variety Special and took the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend Jan Svensden:
