Just over a year ago, the W Hotel launched its first What She Said forum in the Middle East with some of the region’s most inspiring females for International Women’s Day. The series has since travelled around the region including the W Hotel Amman in Jordan where Reem Habayeb, the winner of the Global Citizen Prize and the co-creator of ceramic company Silsal, Farah Hourani, a Jordanian fashion designer and Fairouz Taqi El Din, the Director of Partnerships at Jordan River Foundation, were all present for the occasion.
Now, the forum is back as What She Said is returning to Dubai later this month to continue to celebrate femininity and breaking boundaries.
As to who you can expect on the panel, there will be Zayan Ghandour, Co-Founder of Dubai’s first successful multi-brand fashion concept store, S*uce Boutique and the creative brain behind Zayan The Label, a contemporary ready-to wear fashion line. Joining her will be Khulood Thani, a designer and Founder of Bint Thani; Nez Gebreel, a fashion and design consultant; Safiya Abdallah, a fashion designer and the founder of Dulce By Safiya; and Caroline Labouchere — Dubai’s first grey-haired international model.
“We are thrilled to bring W Hotels’ What She Said series back to Dubai and host it at W Dubai — The Palm,” said Candice D’Cuz, Vice President, Luxury Brand Marketing & Management, Marriott International, Middle East & Africa. “Fashion in the Middle East represents an evolution of historical and social change and is a seamless blend of diverse cultural influences that have enriched and modernized a sensibility that is at once progressive and traditional. We are celebrating this bold and dynamic journey together with female trailblazers who have been at the forefront of change and hope that their personal stories inspire, educate and enlighten other women.”
The What She Said event is open to women on a first come first served basis with limited spaces available and will take place at SoBe, W Dubai — The Palm on June 25, 2019. To join, please email [email protected].
