Not that IKEA needed any help when it came to international recognition, but its newest collaboration has ensured the Swedish furniture giant is the talk of fashion and design lovers worldwide.
Teaming up with Virgil Abloh, the man for whom anything he touches turns to sold-out gold, is by far one of the coolest things the company has done in recent history. The long-awaited reveal came overnight in a livestream held on IKEA’s YouTube page.
Speaking of the collection, Abloh says, “This is going to be a unique project in that it’s going to be by large, the first thing that I’ve done that has the most amount of design and difficulty to actually making the goods. A, it addresses the realm of our living space outside of our closet, and B, this is something that will be readily available and priced at a means that people can participate in.”

There’s no word yet as to whether or not the collection will be available for purchase in the Middle East. Watch this space!
