The Duchess of Sussex, despite being pretty heavily pregnant, isn’t slowing down anytime soon. She was out and about in the most beautiful all-white ensemble the National History Museum last week, and before that she stepped out as Patron to the National Theatre in London for the first time.
Now, she’s jetted across the pond to New York for a five-day girls’ trip – which must come as a relief from all the royal duties she’s had to attend to. Plus, this trip is a buffer before her trip to Morocco with Prince Harry at the end of the month.
It’s been reported that Meghan is in New York (where her former show Suits is set) to see her friends ahead of her baby’s birth at the end of April/early May. She’s spending her time shopping, enjoying good food and friends, and of course finding cute apparel for her new baby. According to Us Weekly, she was spotted at Bonpoint, a high-end children’s clothing store and at Ladurée in Soho with her friends having macarons and tea. Super fancy.
A source told royal correspondant Omid Scobie that the trip was planned months ago. “The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves,” the source said. “This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it’s nice to share precious moments.”
Nothing like a girls’ trip to send you off to motherhood…
