Yesterday we were treated to a rare double Duchess moment — Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, made their first joint outing together without their husbands tagging along. The occasion? To watch Markle’s long-time friend Serena Williams take on Angelique Kerber in the ladies single final at Wimbledon. Serena was unsuccessful in her bid to win, however Kate and Meghan appeared to have a fun time together.
Today, Kate (who is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club) has swapped Meghan for husband Prince William, arriving at Wimbledon’s centre court to watch the highly anticipated men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson. The pair are joined in the royal box by Theresa May and Tom Hiddleston.
And although she opted for a chic monocrhome midi dress by Jenny Packham for yesterday’s game, it appears as though Kate is taking some inspiration from Meghan, with the Duchess donning a bright yellow dress for the occasion by Dolce & Gabbana. It is the second time in two days the Duchess has worn the brand, carrying one its handbags yesterday.
Kate and William are a regular at Wimbledon each year, and the event has served up some of the pair’s cutest moments together, as well as captured Kate’s hilarious facial expressions.
