It’s happening: Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are announced as headlining acts for the Super Bowl

The stage is going to be on fire
Finally! Two major female superstars are set to rock the stage for the Pepsi Halftime show next year...

It’s almost that time of year again where a slew of supermodels and celebrities front some achingly cool commercials, and thousands gather to watch the Super Bowl game unfold.

Considered to be football’s biggest game of the year, only two queens are fit to bring the party to the halftime show and this year, it’s none other than — wait for it — Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

“This is happening,” Grammy winner Lopez wrote on Instagram. “02.02.20.”

Even Pepsi confirmed the news on Twitter just moments later: “Two Queens. First time together on stage…on the world’s biggest stage. Welcome @JLo and @shakira to #PepsiHalftime #SBLIV @RocNation @NFL.”

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, since Super Bowl LIV will be held in Miami next year, the powerhouse singers will bring “Miami flavour” to the stage.

J.Lo and Shakira will join Super Bowl alums Maroon 5, Travis Scott, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott.

Could there be a better duo? We think not.
