The Netflix shows to binge-watch in January

Get your popcorn ready...
There's plenty of exciting releases on Netflix on the first month of the year...

The holidays are officially over but with a new year comes a new list of offerings from Netflix, and we’re certain you’re going to be binge-watching most of their newly-released shows.

We’ve rounded up the top four releases coming to the streaming service here in the Middle East…

How I Met Your Mother

When we found out that all ten seasons of Friends were coming to Netflix, we just couldn’t contain our excitement and we’ve all been guilty of binge-watching the show (a few times at least).

However now, there’s a new sitcom we can add to our lists as How I Met Your Mother is coming to Netflix this month. You’ll be in for a laugh whilst following the lives of five friends (Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily), and after nine seasons, you’ll finally know who Ted and Robin end up with.

How I Met Your Mother will be available on Netflix from January 1, 2019.

Prison Break

If you’re looking for something a little more serious, Prison Break is bringing all of its five seasons to the streaming service.

It tells the story of Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) who, in a desperate bid to help his brother Lincoln Burrows (portrayed by Dominic Purcell), helps him break out of prison to prove his innocence. Does his master plan work? Watch to find out.

Prison Break will be available on Netflix from January 1, 2019.

Godzilla: The Planet Eater

Netflix is releasing a new original anima titled Godzilla: The Planet Eater.

The streaming service described the plot of the upcoming film by saying, “With the earth alliance weakened, Haruo weighs siding with the Exif, whose death cult is summoning a monster that can destroy the world.”

Godzilla: The Planet Eater will be available on Netflix from January 9, 2019.

Comedians of the World: Middle East

Why not start off the year with a laugh by watching Comedians of the World: Middle East.

This is a first-of-a-kind series that includes 47 comedians from 13 different regions in eight languages that will present their stand-up skit and make you laugh uncontrollably.
