There are a certain few who are reaping the rewards of their hard work this past year at the 2020 awards ceremonies. The 26th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees list was relatively similar to that of the Golden Globes and the Critics’ Choice Awards with many of the same names taking out the top prizes.
Once the red carpet was finished, the A-list headed into the ceremony to see who was amongst this year’s winners. In a similar list to some of this year’s awards, Joker’s Joaquin Phoenix and Judy’s Renee Zellweger won for their leading film roles, whilst on the television front, Jennifer Aniston took home a gong for ‘Best Actress in a Drama Series’ for her role in The Morning Show.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge from Fleabag and Tony Shalhoub from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel took home trophies in their comedy series categories.
Also, the Korean film, Parasite, made history at the awards as the thriller became the first foreign-language film to win best motion picture cast.
