The 90th Annual Academy Awards, more frequently referred to as the Oscars, took place this morning at the Dolby Theatre in California and some of Hollywood’s biggest names were in attendance.
Easily the biggest night in film of the year, all eyes are on Hollywood during the event to see, not only who will walk away with the year’s top honours (Gary Oldman, Frances McDormand, Alison Janney and The Shape of Water, we’re looking at you) but what the stars chose to wear to mark the occasion.
Unlike the Golden Globes and BAFTAs, there was no all-black dress code at this year’s event leaving stars free to dazzle in high shine metallics (favoured by the likes of Sandra Bullock, Lupita Nyong’o and Gal Gadot amongst others) as well as softer hues of white (Margot Robbie) and blush pink (Saoirse Ronan).
