The wait for one of the most anticipated hotel openings of the year is now over as W Dubai – The Palm has officially opened its doors today. Guests can enjoy skyline views of the city, including taking in the seaside sights from one of the resort’s main terrace. Plus, there’ll be a renowned spa (the region’s first AWAY Spa), two celebrity chef-led restaurants and a pool that you’ll want to dip your toes into immediately.

Find your zen at this yoga festival

Everybody does yoga on the beach, so we want to do yoga on the beach. And now Dubai is set to host another edition of the region’s largest yoga initiative, XYoga Dubai. Designed to encourage people to live a healthier lifestyle whilst pushing your body boundaries and having a good time, there will also be a slew of different yoga sessions (from Vinyasa Yoga to AcroYoga), as well as talks, and workshops for all levels.

A trio of music legends are set to take the stage at the 2019 Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival this month. Headlining the first night will be Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol while the following two nights will see Jamiroquai and Alicia Keys. Yo, how can we get front row?

The Godfather is coming to Dubai

One of the biggest films in the industry is making its way to Dubai and it’s not on your usual cinema screens. Set to take place at Dubai Opera, The Godfather will be surrounding the halls its storyline, however, it will be accompanied by a live orchestral accompaniment which will make the experience even more epic.

Branding with Arabic Typography

You’ll also have the chance to join the award-winning Lebanese-Dutch Designer Tarek Atrissi for an intense four-day workshop highlighting all you need to know about Arabic Typography (including the lettering, the calligraphy and the type design). You’ll learn how to create narrative typographic visual languages, case studies in brand strategies development, and many more exciting activities. 

The workshop will run from February 7-10, 2019, at Tashkeel Nad Al Sheba.
