It’s officially time to put your bargain-hunting glasses on as Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) returns with an action-packed line-up this year. Following the challenging year, we’re in need of a little retail therapy and thrilling experiences, and the much-loved shopping festival is running for a whopping 10 weeks, kicking off from July 1 to September 4, 2021.
Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, DSS will bring back many of its popular elements including an exciting programme of events, promotions, entertainment and much more.
Throughout the festival, you’ll see the city come to life with colourful decorations and full on lighting. Residents and visitors alike will be treated to projections and fountain shows scattered across the city. Just two of the locations to watch the jaw-dropping shows are at Burj Khalifa and Dubai Festival City Mall where you’ll catch the breathtaking Imagine Show.
In addition to a jam-packed schedule including its annual shopping, hotel, dining, and entertainment options at surprising discounted summer rates, DSS is bringing back some of its exciting promotions including ‘SHARE Millionaire’ in association with Majid Al Futtaim Malls. Those who spend AED300 or more immediately get a chance to become one of the weekly lucky winners of AED 1 Million SHARE points each.
The 21st edition of Modesh World will also kick off this season at the Dubai World Trade Centre, offering a multitude of activities catering mostly to families with children. Whether it’s something for your little ones (or for the inner child in you), you’ll have a chance to engage with Modesh and Dana in an immersive theme park experience, indulge in food truck offerings and have plenty of photo opportunities at interactive workshops, games, entertainment and thrilling rides.
