Just last week, it was revealed that Meghan Markle was guest editor of a high-profile magazine, where she also announced that a charitable clothing line was in the works. And just when we thought that her day-to-day duties as a royal, plus being a new mum to a three-month-old Archie, wasn’t enough, the Duchess of Sussex is seemingly taking it all in her stride.
It’s been reported that the royal will now follow in the literary footsteps of British royal family member, Prince Charles, as she will be writing a children’s book.
According to The Times, Meghan Markle’s new publishing project will include some furry friends. The story is inspired by her pet dogs — an adopted beagle named Guy, and a labrador-shepherd mix named Bogart.
Also, any profits from Meghan’s upcoming book are likely to be donated to charity. According to The Sun, a source told the paper that “the plans are in the very early stages and won’t be formally announced for some time. But [Meghan’s] very excited about the possibility and is passionate about the idea of a work of fiction for children.”
Back in the ’80s, Prince Charles wrote The Old Man of Lochnagar, and Sarah Ferguson wrote Budgie the Little Helicopter.
