This year alone, we’ve already had news of several pretty huge fashion and beauty collaborations: Nars x Erdem, Karl Lagerfeld x ModelCo and Byredo x Off-White, for example. And now, news has emerged overnight that we’re in for another big name collab thanks to Proenza Schouler and Lancôme.
According to WWD, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the brains behind the fashion label who recently re-released 15 of the brand’s most iconic items, have teamed up with the French beauty giant on a limited edition capsule collection that will hit shelves in July.
Speaking about the collection in a statement, the pair said, “Lancôme has always represented the epitome of luxury beauty products, so it is like a dream come true to be able to collaborate with such an iconic and historic brand.” Françoise Lehmann, the General Manager of Lancôme International, added that the two brand’s unions made perfect sense because Proenza Schouler’s designs are “the manifesto of a strong, free femininity. The idea of ’empowerment’ is at the heart of their values, just as it always has been at the heart of the Lancôme philosophy.”
There’s no word yet on what exactly will feature in the collection but with July less than one month away, there’s not long to wait to find out.
In the meantime, see which cult beauty brand has just released the mascara you’ve been waiting for.
