ESSILORLUXOTTICA IS BUYING SUPREME FROM VF CORP.
In a move that left the fashion industry surprised, French-Italian eyewear giant EssilorLuxottica has emerged as the buyer of American streetwear label Supreme. VF Corp., the current owner of Supreme, has agreed to sell the brand to EssilorLuxottica for 1.5 billion dollars. This marks a significant decrease from the 2.1 billion dollars that VF Corp. paid when it acquired the label four years ago.
