How to turn heads in Saint Laurent for a sleek spring

The bold and the beautiful
Spring isn't all about florals – sometimes it's about decadent dressing. Just ask Saint Laurent...

We’re a little done with spring’s default sartorial narrative. Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking. Three guesses where that’s come from…

So, as we’re well into the new seaon now, we’re looking for some spicy inspo. The look we’re going for? Strong confident women, who can practically walk on water – just like the models did on the Saint Laurent runway back at the S/S’19 show. Set against the now familiar Trocadero spot beneath the Eiffel Tower, Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello presented high, high glamour with party-ready pieces.

And while we’ve seen the looks on the runway already (go back and familiarise yourselves) we’ve got some backstage action below to get you in that ‘minx-y’ mood…

Now of course we might not be able to recreate that hot Parisian vibe against the Eiffel Tower, we can definitely find our flair with some Saint Laurent pieces. The collection saw chainmail tops, high-leg asymmetric dresses, 80s-style shoulder-padded bodysuits, paired with bedazzled chokers and drop earrings. Oh and swimwear is now eveningwear. Does any of that say dull to you? Not so much.

And in case you need more reason to embrace a bolder wardrobe or need a visual to kick-start (literally) that confidence, here you go…

Let those inhibitions free…
