Meghan Markle’s Givenchy gown will go on display at the upcoming royal wedding exhibition

Your chance to see it up close and personal
You're going to want to get yourself to London at the end of the year because a royal wedding exhibition is opening and it's going to be good...

When Meghan Markle stepped out of the car at Windsor Castle ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes were glued to our screens to see whom the newest royal had chosen to design her dress. There were plenty of rumours swirling in the months leading up to the big day, and yet no-one predicted that it would be Clare Waight Keller, the first female head of Givenchy, that would be given the job. And yet, Keller delivered in magnificent style, designing a simple-yet-elegant gown that was literally the talk of the town (and by town, we mean world).

Now, it has been confirmed that the stunning piece of fashion history will go on public display from October in an upcoming exhibition at Windsor Castle dedicated to the royal wedding.

In addition to the dress, visitors will also be able to see four-metre long veil embroidered with the 53 flowers of the Commonwealth as well as the diamond and platinum tiara lent to Meghan by the Queen. This is particularly monumental as it is the first time the tiara has ever been on public display.

Prince Harry‘s Household Cavalry uniform will also be included in the exhibition.

Speaking of the exhibition, Caroline de Guitat of the Royal Collection Trust said, “The displays at both Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse will allow visitors the unique opportunity to view the intricate detail in the wedding outfits of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

The exhibition will run from October 26, 2018 to January 6, 2019 at Windsor Castle before moving to the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh from June 14 to October 6, 2019.
