As the curtains rise on DeepFest, a captivating trio steals the spotlight: TikTok, NASA, and Zoom unite as Mohammad, the humanoid robot, makes his grand entrance onto the global stage.

DeepFest, the ultimate convergence of the global Artificial Intelligence (AI) community, Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham transformed into a world of futuristic wonder yesterday, Monday March 4th. Nestled within the bustling energy of LEAP, the world’s unrivaled tech meeting, DeepFest emerged, powered by the innovative spirit of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

This second installment of DeepFest promises an exhilarating journey, hosting over 150 luminaries of AI expertise and showcasing 120 groundbreaking AI enterprises from now until March 7. Opening day dazzled with a star-studded lineup featuring industry giants such as HTC, Accenture, and Microsoft. Dr. Yaser Al-Onaizan, the visionary CEO of SDAIA, set the tone with the theme “The Dawn of AI,” captivating an audience brimming with global luminaries, practitioners, policymakers, and academic luminaries poised to unveil AI’s vast potential.

A momentous debut awaited as Mohammad, the crown jewel of QSS Systems, graced the stage. As the first Saudi-made bilingual humanoid, Mohammad joined the illustrious ranks alongside SARA, his female counterpart, marking a historic milestone for the Kingdom. Speaking fluent Arabic and gesturing with precision, Mohammad captivated an audience enraptured by his unprecedented presence.

Returning to the DeepFest Main Stage, Omar Hatamleh, the visionary Chief Advisor of AI and Innovation at NASA, mesmerized with a thought-provoking presentation. His discourse spanned a breadth of topics from combating biases in AI to the revolutionary potential of 3D printing biological organs based on genetic blueprints. Delving into collective learning within the automotive industry and pondering the economic implications of longevity, Hatamleh illuminated the complex tapestry of AI’s impact on humanity.

DeepFest’s will remain until March 7, promising a journey into the heart of innovation. Tuesday’s agenda brims with anticipation, featuring presentations from titans like Google, Meta, the US Chamber of Commerce, and Noon. Amidst live demonstrations, immersive training sessions, and electrifying start-up pitches, DeepFest continues to push the boundaries of possibility, beckoning the world to embrace the future of AI.
