We are gearing up to celebrate Arab cinema at the 96th Oscars!

Steeped in the glitz and glamour of the silver screen, the Oscars stand as the pinnacle of recognition in the vast realm of cinema. As the 96th edition approaches, the air is charged with anticipation, for this prestigious event not only celebrates the art of filmmaking but also etches the names of trailblazers in history.

Amidst the grandeur, a triumphant moment beckons for Arab cinema. This year, as the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences unveils the shortlists, we find ourselves on the cusp of witnessing history once again. Beyond the buzz surrounding Hollywood giants, the spotlight shines brightly on two extraordinary Arab films that have earned their place among the chosen few.

Leading the charge is Four Daughters by the visionary Kaouther Ben Hania, a masterpiece that not only competes in two categories but also serves as the Tunisian entry in the International Feature Category. This evocative exploration of sisterhood, motherhood, rebellion, and memory has already garnered accolades at the Cannes Film Festival, setting the stage for a remarkable journey at the Oscars.
