Let’s be honest — the coronavirus pandemic has completely ruined all of our travel plans for 2020 and although countries around the world are starting to reopen their borders for international travellers, it doesn’t seem like any travelling for leisure is happening this year.
That’s why we’re looking well into next year for in fact, according to Google Trends, searches for ‘2021 holiday’ have increased by 124% when compared to the end of March.
Luxury travel company Kuoni Travel (based in the UK) was able to rank the most searched destinations around the world. “To uncover 2021’s most dreamed of destinations, we reviewed data for 131 countries around the world, including the UK, to discover which countries travellers are searching for on Google for next year,” said the travel group.
The Middle East dominated the top three spots for the world’s most searched destinations for 2021, and we couldn’t be prouder. The UAE ranks first of the world’s most searched-for destinations globally.
The worldwide data concludes that the most popular holiday destinations for next year are:
1. UAE
2. =Qatar
2. =USA
2. =Canada
3. Egypt
