David Fischer built Highsnobiety from a simple blog on sneakers into a multi-faceted streetwear website, media brand as well as production agency that sees traffic of more than 9 million monthly visitors to its site and an astounding 3.1 million followers on Instagram.
Now, inspired by his own nomadic lifestyle, the media executive is turning his midas touch to travel, launching Premium Economy — a customisable adhesive brand for hard shell suitcases such as Rimowa and Away.
Gone are the days when a flimsy leather name tag determined the fate of your travel essentials; today, a fresh set of stickers featuring your initials will have you spot your luggage from a mile away!
“I have this beautiful premium suitcase and yet it is the exact same as 20 other people on this flight,” says David Fischer, founder of Premium Economy. “The way old-school luggage brands have been adding the initials of their owners to leather luggage for over a hundred years felt like the perfect addition, yet we wanted it to be easy, fun and interchangeable. The sticker was the perfect way to achieve that.”
Designed for hard-shell suitcases and tested to meet the rigorous demands of travel across the globe, the new stickers come featuring initials along with matching stripe stickers in two different sizes available for cabin and check-in luggage.
Travellers can personalise their bags in one of five different shade pairings; from crimson and blue, pink and gray or orange and pink to dark blue and yellow as well as mint and green. Customisable, interchangeable and water resistant, the made in Germany adhesives are pleasingly retro — a modern spin on the aesthetics found on trunks from historic fashion houses.
