It turns out that we’re looking for less Instagrammmed backdrops as the percentage of searches for “less travelled islands” has spiked by 179 per cent. Also, it looks like there’s increasing popularity for solo female travel with top destination spots including Cuba, Sri Lanka and Portugal.
Searches for autumn holidays have increased by 94 per cent as well, and searches for the world’s most luxurious hot springs has risen by 32 per cent, signalling our need for R&R.
Also, there’s an increased interest in sustainability with eco-friendly getaways experiencing a 74 per cent rise in recent months.
