If you’ve ever gone to purchase something on eBay but stopped yourself at checkout upon seeing the shipping charges, news that local e-commerce platform noon.com has teamed up with the California-based company will be music to your ears.
The Dubai-based platform, owned by Mohamed Alabbar, will allow its regional customers to shop eBay’s top products and have them delivered directly to their doorstep with returns being facilitated by noon for ease of shopping. This new process also means reduced shipping fees and quicker delivery.
Faraz Khalid, the CEO of noon, said in a statement, “eBay has been a first-mover in the e-commerce space globally and offers one of the biggest assortment of products in the world, with over a billion listings. Our partnership now combines this selection with our outstanding delivery and customer service capabilities, making it much easier for customers, especially the young people in the region, to make the best of eBay’s offerings via noon.”
The partnership will begin from the second half of this year and offers a competitive solution to Amazon’s partnership with Souq.com.
