LVMH Watch Week 2022: TAG Heuer’s new novelties

Aquaracer Professional 200 and Autavia
Calling all Watch aficionados! LVMH Watch Week is finally here with an impressive line-up of new novelties for the year. Here’s what TAG Heuer has in store for us…

THE NEW AQUARACER PROFESSIONAL 200

During LVMH Watch Week 2022, TAG Heuer released two new novelties – one of which is the new Aquaracer Professional 200. Just as iconic as the brand’s Carrera or Monaco, the new timepiece is a bold and stylish piece of arm candy that continues the rich legacy of the historic Swiss Manufacturer.

“The Aquaracer Professional 200 is a companion for a fast-paced, unforgettable life full of adventure and achievement, a life lived beyond the edge,” says Frédéric Arnault, TAG Heuer CEO.

The high-functioning sports watch will be available with either a 40mm or 30mm stainless steel case – with each coming complete with a uni-directional rotating bezel with twelve facets, water resistance to 200 metres, and either an automatic mechanical or quartz movement.

As part of TAG Heuer’s all-star line-up, the Aquaracer revamp first began with new Professional 300 models but for 2022, it’s taking a sleeker approach to be made more wearable with today’s smart-casual attire – hence the 40mm Aquaracer Professional 200 collection, accompanied by the 30mm range for women.

AUTAVIA

When thinking about TAG Heuer, your mind automatically goes to Monaco or Carrera, however, Autavia is one of the most important chronographs in watchmaking and has such a storied history. Now celebrating its 60th anniversary, TAG Heuer released a line-up of three new complications that are extremely impressive. The Calibre Heuer 02 COSC Flyback manufacture movement brings the flyback function to the Autavia collection for the first time with two new chronograph models, while the Calibre 7 COSC GMT movement drives a brand-new three-hand GMT model – another first for the Autavia collection.

Each of the new timepieces represent a first within the Autavia collection, and all share certain attributes such as bidirectional rotating bezels with ceramic inserts, sapphire crystals, COSC chronometer certification, and a modular quick-change strap system.
