Whether it’s ready-to-wear, accessories or a beauty line, Tom Ford‘s collections are always exceptionally sleek, sophisticated and feminine. So, it’s natural that the American designer would add to his growing portfolio and tackle the horology department.
Making its debut on the Tom Ford F/W ’18 runway in February, Tom Ford’s new and beautiful timepiece range, titled Tom Ford 001 Collection, was belted around the models as they strutted down the runway in the designer’s beautiful autumnal ensembles.
Following just a single design style, the timepieces feature a rectangular watch face that comes complete in yellow gold or brushed, polished and matte stainless steel. Boasting ultimate luxury through its leatherwork (a house signature), the straps are available in a series of colours and materials including braided leather, calf leather, pebble leather, and alligator.
Speaking to WWD about the timepiece collection, Tom Ford said: “It’s a single watch design. Right now, it comes in two different sizes and in different finishes and different coloured faces. But it is a watch; it is the Tom Ford watch. This watch has given me the vocabulary to now do another one, but it isn’t like I’m going to have 50 watches. I may ultimately have five models.”
