Tiffany & Co. announce a $1 million (Dhs3.6 million) commitment to COVID-19 relief

The world is literally coming together to combat the coronavirus pandemic – whether it’s us who #stayhome, the NHS workers who are bravely battling the frontlines or several major conglomerates donating millions to COVID-19 relief. The list continues to grow and the latest brand to join the global fight against the coronavirus is Tiffany & Co..

Always recognised as a high-end jewellery label that is committed to supporting its hometown of New York City, the Tiffany & Co. Foundation announced a $1 million (Dhs3.6 million) commitment to the current pandemic. The donation will be split into two: $750,000 (approximately Dhs2.7 million) to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization, powered by the UN Foundation. The remaining $250,000 (approximately Dhs918,000) to The New York Community Trust’s NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund.

“During this global health crisis, we must all be responsive to the urgent needs of our global communities. We are proud to support organizations providing immediate relief for communities impacted by COVID-19, including our hometown of New York,” said Anisa Kamadoli Costa, Chairman & President, The Tiffany & Co. Foundation.

Also, will be matching employee donations to any qualified non-profit organization supporting COVID-19 relief, dollar for dollar.
