It’s a double launch for IWC Schaffhausen today as the luxury Swiss watch manufacturer have just launched a brand new line and announced the newest faces to join its sphere of celebrity ambassadors.
IWC Schaffhausen teamed up with model Josephine Skriver and actress Ning Chang, to unveil (and front) the new Portofino 34mm line — a selection of timepieces that boast elegance, colour and a bold feminine spirit.
The new editions offer a feminine 34mm dial size, making it the smallest in IWC’s current collection. You’ll also be able to choose from a slew of hand-coloured strap shades — each crafted by the Italian leather goods maker Santoni.
Captured entirely on location in the idyllic Italian village of Portofino, the laid-back sense of style and ease of the campaign images perfectly reflect the same easy-going elegance the Swiss watchmaker instils within the Portofino line.
Speaking of the campaign, Skriver said: “I couldn’t imagine beginning my relationship with IWC in a more perfect place. Portofino is a magical location, and I have had such a great time with Ning Chang. One of the true joys of being a model is that I can encourage people to be bold in their fashion choices, and the new Portofino designs really represent this philosophy, as they can be adapted to fit your look or your mood.”
Then, Chang later added: “Exploring Portofino with Josephine has been such a wonderful experience. I was so happy to be asked to become part of the IWC family, and to start in this beautiful place has been incredible. It is so exciting to work with such a creative brand. A Portofino watch is chic and elegant; it is the perfect addition to any outfit.”
All of the new Portofino models are now available in IWC boutiques and authorised IWC retailers in China and Hong Kong, arriving in the rest of the world throughout October 2019. Make sure to watch this space.
