Breitling has always been known for pushing boundaries — whether it’s high in the sky, on ground or on sea — and it’s evident in the personalities chosen for its Spotlight Squad and in the introduction of new timepieces. In this case, it’s Breitling’s latest collection, the Chronomat 36 and 32 series which is set to take women wherever they want to go.
Ever since its inception in the 1980s (the original Chronomat signalled a rebirth in 1984), the Chronomat was designed for the innovative women of today and this season, the stunning new timepieces come in two different sizes (36 mm Automatic and 32 mm SuperQuartz) in an array of metal cases: cool stainless steel, goes-with-everything bicolour, or luxe 18k red gold. If you want to opt for a little more sparkle, women will have the option to choose diamond-set bezels and indexes.
With 10 versions to choose from, the modern-retro-inspired watches are available in special lacquered dials in white, pale green, midnight blue or copper (our eye is on the pale green) and is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10 with a reserve of about 42 hours.
A sporty yet elegant piece of art, the timepieces feature Breitling’s iconic Rouleaux bracelet with a butterfly clasp — symbolising competence and effortless style — and like all Breitling watches, are COSC-certified, an independent confirmation of their Swiss precision.
“Our inspiration for this new collection is the Breitling woman herself, as represented in our #SQUADONAMISSION campaign: a woman of purpose, action, and style who’s at the top of her game,” says Breitling CEO Georges Kern.
This season, Breitling’s Spotlight Squad includes three extraordinary entertainers who have all had to break gender stereotypes in their respective fields. Meet award-winning actress Charlize Theron, dancer Misty Copeland and Chinese TV and film actress Yao Chen.

Three leading stars known for being fierce and pushing boundaries.
