Undoubtedly, Chanel is one of the most recognised maisons of all time. With a long-standing history and heritage, Founder Gabrielle Chanel’s passion for tweed suits, beautiful pearls and rich ingredients of the Chanel No. 5 have become essentials of the Chanel maison and continue to live strong today.
It was in 1932 that she began experimenting with her first fine jewellery collection (Gabrielle had a secret affinity with pearls — a fundamental theme of Chanel). Since then, her love affair with jewellery has been evidently seen through several now-iconic collections. And the latest form of that expression is adorned in the new Secrets d’Orients collection.
The High Jewellery range is bringing back the fundamental theme of Chanel with two capsule collections dedicated to the Middle East.
As dazzling and exquisite as you’d expect, the design of the pieces are opulent with a selection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets complete with dangling pearls and precious chains made of gold paved with diamonds.
Representing the region comes the geometry of the mashrabiya pattern (an architectural element which is a main characteristic of Arabian residences), as well as Akoya pearls and imperial topaz — warm tones that evoke the Middle East — all chosen by the Fine Jewellery Creation Studio.
