The edit: What to wear this festive season

Go all out
Metallics were made for the festive season. Here's why we think you should go for gold at your next party...

We’re just over four weeks from the holiday season and so, naturally, our minds have turned to what we’ll be doing — and more importantly, wearing — for all of the events that come along with it.

In keeping with the spirit of the season, gilded metallics are an easy choice for high octane glamour. Whether silver, rose or classic gold, opt to liven up monochrome pairings with a gold cami, or put the finishing touch on an outfit with a pair of shiny heels. A multi-coloured sequin midi skirt and dress are a must, too, given their practicality and party-ready vibe — we like them paired best with a simple tee and sneakers for a look that screams nonchalant cool. Or, embrace an ’80s vibe and opt for a floor-length, wide-leg jumpsuit which when paired with a low bun and statement earrings is a guaranteed holiday hit. Not sure the shine is for you? We say start small by adding a metallic handbag to your look for a pop of pizazz.

Here, we’ve chosen our edit of the top metallic pieces for the holiday season at Harvey Nichols Dubai
